Beachy Collage - Scrapbook Style
This is a very simple project that is a melds together collections and photos into a great memory keeper for your trips to the shore. The burlap background mixed with the sand around the frame gives this project a very unique look. Every time I walk by this in the hallway, it brings a smile to my face.
Materials list: One collage style frame, shells, beach glass, sand and broken shell mix*, hot glue and white glue, burlap to fit your frame
* Buy broken shell mix or make your own with a hammer, plastic bag and some damaged shells.
Instructions: Take off glass and frame back and glue burlap to the cardboard backing.
Next: put a very think layer of glue around the frame and press in the sand and broken shell mixture. It will take hours to dry. The sand around the frame is extremely unique and gives the collage and extra "Beachy" boost.

Now arrange your treasures in the windows of the frame. Using Elmer's or Aleene's tacky glue will keep the glue from showing when it's dry. Only use hot glue if the shells are very heavy.
Add your photo and replace the frame, your beach-scrapbook collage is done! Make sure and send us a picture of your project so we can add it to our "Share your project" page!
